Bio
Joel Kirk is a NYC based theatre, film, and television director/producer/writer. He has collaborated with Emmy, Oscar, Grammy, Tony, and Pulitzer Prize winning artists.
Directed 30 shows in NYC working with institutions such as The Public Theater, NewYorkRep, Playwrights Horizons, New World Stages, Westport Country Playhouse, to name a few. He produces/directs the live comedy event “Theater Adult with Gianmarco Soresi” with past guests including Ben Platt, Gaten Matarazzo, Alex Edelman, Joel Kim Booster, Alex Moffat, Laura Benanti, Amber Ruffin, Erika Henningsen to name a few.
In 2021, he founded the non-profit Discovering Broadway Inc., a pre-Broadway incubator celebrated in The New York Times for incubating musical adaptations of THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA adapted by Sir Elton John and 2X Tony-winner Shaina Taub, EVER AFTER based on the Drew Barrymore film, and A BEAUTIFUL MIND adapted by 3X Golden Globe winner Sarah Treem. His film Rotating Clock won the Heartland International Film Festival.

For television, he was a guest on Season 5, Episode 45 of NBC’s Emmy-winning talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show, a director/producer with Netflix is a Joke Fest in 2026, and a Creative Consultant for the Peacock broadcast of the 500 Festival Parade, the third largest parade in the U.S.
